2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us when you complete a form on this website, such as an enquiry, consultation request, partnership enquiry or investor registration. Depending on the form, this may include:

  • Your name, email address and organization
  • Your target market, the service or package you are interested in, and investor type
  • Anything you write in the message field

Our web server may also record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the website secure and working properly.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange a discovery call or meeting
  • To prepare a proposal or quotation you have asked for
  • To route your enquiry to the right company in the group
  • To keep a record of our communication with you
  • To protect the security of our website and meet our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing you have not asked for. If we would like to send you updates, we will ask for your consent first, and you can withdraw it at any time.

4. Sharing within the group and with service providers

Your enquiry may be shared between The FJ Venture Enterprises Inc. and Filsims Enterprises Ltd. so that the right team can respond, for example when work is contracted in Canada and delivered in Kenya or the DR Congo.

We use trusted service providers to host this website, store form submissions and send email. They may process your information only on our instructions and must protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law.

5. Where your information is stored

Your information may be stored and processed in Canada, Kenya or other countries where our service providers operate. When information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to make sure it receives a comparable level of protection, and it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship, and generally for no more than 24 months after our last contact, unless we need to keep it longer for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

7. How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, and applicable laws in the United States, you may have the right to:
